Nice app! There is one thing I noticed when I changed ink in one of my pens. The usage records aren’t storing the ink that was in the pen when it was used. All of the usage records change to the ink that you currently have in that particular pen. It would be nice to know the pen and ink that was used for that usage audit trail. Just a suggestion… Thanks.
I can see how that would happen to you. The intended use of the currently inked entries is to archive them (the right most icon) and then create a new entry for the new pen + ink combo. That way the usage records stay assigned to the correct entry.
The Archive feature is a little confusing. Is there documentation available for the FPC application. Maybe that will help me to better understand the Archive Functionality. I’m seeing a bunch of Currently Inked archives, but I don’t recall archiving anything. Perhaps it is automated when I refill my pens. I sure would like to know what the process is.
Adding documentation has been on my todo list for a long time. Never got around to it.
Yes, when you refill a pen it archives the old entry under the hood and creates a new one. It’s essentially just automating the manual steps of archiving the entry and then creating a new one with the same pen and ink. So whenever you empty a pen, refill it, etc. the previous currently entry needs to be archived and then you can add a new one.
